This project features the development of StudyBuddy, a Chrome extension based on the Pomodoro technique designed to help students and professionals manage study and work sessions efficiently. Built out of a personal need for a lightweight, distraction-free focus tool embedded directly in the browser, StudyBuddy is currently under active development with a focus on core feature refinement and UI optimization. I hope you enjoy exploring this work!
Overview & Productivity Challenge
With digital interfaces constantly competing for user attention, maintaining sustained focus during independent study or work sessions remains a common challenge. The Pomodoro technique offers a proven method of breaking work into focused intervals separated by short breaks. StudyBuddy brings this methodology seamlessly into the daily web browsing environment.
Extension Architecture & Feature Design
As a Chrome Extension personal project built on Manifest V3, StudyBuddy emphasizes an intuitive user experience, rapid timer controls, and minimal system resource usage. The extension allows users to visually monitor their work-rest cycles without interrupting their primary browsing workflow.
Note: This project is currently in active development. Features, UI enhancements, and technical documentation are continuously being refined prior to public release.
